I received my Grundig why be 500 radio yesterday evening and spent a great
deal of time reacquainting myself with it. Due to your efforts it seems the
original sensitivity and fidelity have been restored and the radio is
performing as it did originally. Thank you very much.
An interesting antidote that I hope and pray does not ever occur again but
highlights the units capabilitys. I live in Enid Oklahoma which is about 90
miles north of Oklahoma City. During the Murra building bombing in Oklahoma
City I was listening to a live interview with the Oklahoma City Fire Chief
conducted by the BBC and being broadcast over a shortwave station in New
Zealand. How about that for around the world at 186,000 mi./s?
Having this radio returned to its original status has made this old blind

I just wanted to write to express my happiness in dealing with your firm. Last year I purchased the A7, with a price tag much higher than I usually would spend on a camera. A few weeks ago I set it on a bench in my garage after a shoot, and promptly swung my purse around , knocking it onto the garage floor . AUGH !! no more power, lights, sound, or anything.
I cautiously scoped the internet to find a repair location and came upon Royal Camera. I took a leap of faith and sent in my camera.

Hey Jeff, Bill and folks:
Got my camera back today and it appears to be in tip-top shape so want to thank you for doing a great job.
I now realize the rotor dial on the back of the camera was broken when I bought the camera.
I assumed it just needed a little use to “loosen” up which, of course, never happened. Since I shoot
mainly in aperture mode when outside and manual when in studio, I don’t use the front dial that much
so don’t really care that it sticks. Nice to have the LCD screen working again. The Carl Zeiss is such
a great lens….nice to have it back in perfect working condition. As I was telling Jeff, I was at the WPPI EXPO
and got to play with the new Sony a6300 and subsequently bought it when it came out last Thursday.
Even though a cropped sensor, it isan amazing camera and hopefully will draw less attention when I am
out and about shooting. (I had one Nikon DSLR stolen in China and one in London). Those that steal
cameras for a living tend to look past the Sony brand….although with the mirrorless revolution taking
off….probably not much longer. 🙂 At any rate, thanks again for the workmanship involved in fixing
the camera and lens and have a great Spring and Summer there in the midwest.

Hi Folks. I received the camera today and it seems to work very well, thank
you. Just a little history on this camera. I actually got it wet
(freshwater) last May while hiking. Kodiak (Alaska) is a pretty wet place.
Anyway, I sent it in to Precision Camera in Connecticut. To make a long
story short, I finally got it back from them in October. For a long time I
could not get them to reply to my inquiries, so finally I called the Ct
better business bureau. Precision Camera got back to me and said the camera
needed a new housing and they could not get parts. So, they sent it to the
factory. They in turn apparently could not repair it, so I finally was able
to get them to return it. It being a nice camera and not wanting to throw it
away and being a mechanic all my life I decided to take it apart myself, and
did. It is not that terribly difficult. Looking at it it seemed to me that
the most likely place for water damage to occur was on top because of the
microphone holes. I looked on ebay and found the power board for $40. But,
in looking around the internet I found your website and thought I would give
your facility a try instead. Hard to believe you fixed it after less than a
week. While I have a better quality camera this is my “belt camera.” I have
this neat summer job where I fly into remote places in Alaska with a group
of people and I take them around and we take pictures of bears. (I’ll attach
a couple) My larger camera is usually in my pack while this is usually on my
belt. Since we use float planes I am in and out of the water all day so it
is easy to get wet if I am not careful. Anyway, thanks again and I will
remember your business in the event I need future repairs.

Hello Paul,
My name is Joe T, I spoke with you briefly on Wednesday Sept. 20,
about a problem I had with my Canon EOS 5D. The Pix were too blue and
could not be corrected with white balance adjustment or Kelvin Color Temp.
The only way to correct the problem was with a 10Y CC filter or in photo shop.
My fearing the worst – a sensor replacement, you suggested that I try resetting
the camera to original factory default settings and go from there. That’s exactly
what I did and the camera is back to working just fine. I guess the Camera
settings became corrupted.
This email is to thank you for being so helpful and honest, You must come from
the old school of ethics. Your honesty is sincerely appreciated. If and when I need
a camera repair or service I will not hesitate to send my equipment out to you.
